Goals
The purpose of the Delta Kappa Kappa New Member Education program is to ensure that all new incoming members understand history, tradition, and mission of the Fraternity dating back to its inception in 1926. New Member Education will be influenced by parameters created by the Delta Kappa Kappa Alumni Association, the Alpha Chapter, and the North American Inter-Fraternity Conference Code of Conduct. New Members will be provided with documentation and lessons that outline the history and tradition of the fraternity and the role of the Alpha chapter within the State University of New York at Oswego Greek community.
In order to attain the highest degree of brotherhood and leadership development, academics and co-curricular experiences will be strongly considered in order to achieve full-membership. Speakers who are both affiliated and unaffiliated with the fraternity will be asked to present on topics that will continue to cultivate the excellence that the Fraternity was founded on. Each New Member Education period will be consistent with prior and future semesters, with the values of the fraternity stressed first.
